    Hello there,
I've been using this bluray player (BDP3200 - I guess that's the BDP3406 in the USA) for a few days now, and it is really nice, but subtitle display for media files is not his strength.
SRT files and SSA/ASS files inside containers are often displayed with a default setting, just a plain medium-little subs, with a thin font. It won't display simultaneous lines of text either, and sometimes it misses some lines of .ass inside MKV files.

I was almost thinking that it wouldn't change without some firmware modification, but I played a video file that had a Sub file in the MKV, and the subtitle was different. Another font and bigger size, I was very curious about that.

So, it seems .sub files have greater possibilities here, but I'd like to ask you guys what are the limitations of .sub. Can I convert a .ass to .sub with colors or different fonts? I tried to use AegisSub, but It didn't work, it exported just the plain text and the player displayed it without distinction.

SubtitleCreator saving .srt as vobsub's idx/sub will work nicely as external subtitle! =D

It would be nice to find a ".ssa/.ass to vobsub" program, but I guess dynamic effects in sub won't work at all,
    and maybe simultaneous subtitles neither.
