  1. Hi, this is my first post so please be gentle :D .
I've just this morning got my UK X Box. I've burned a VCD using a combination of Virtualdub, TMPGEnc, and Nero ( could not get VCD Easy to work, kept getting aspi driver fault ) with my Mitsumi 4809TE. The X Box won't even look at it. I'm not sure if the x box dislikes cdr's, vcd's, or I've just plain screwed up somewhere. Does anyone know if the x box should play cdr vcd's? if so where have I gone wrong.

    Any advice appreciated.

  2. I am absolutely gutted!, I've just tried a few Audio CDR's, and it seems the x box doesn't play them at all!. Half my collection is on CDR!. I can't believe it!. An all singing, all dancing machine and it doesn't play cdr's!. I am so mad!, I bought it to play cd's, vcd's, dvd's and games!.

If anyone know's anything else about this subject please let me know, maybe a certain type of cdr? ( clutching at straws here ! )

  3. Just be careful with your X-Box, a lot of them have a CD-ROM fault where it sctraches the surface of the disc rendering it useless. Typical Microsoft technology ... bloody useless!

  4. OK, It plays cdrw's which is something, so I wrote the film out on CDRW but it doesn't recognise it, I know it is not the disc as I tried it as an audio cd and it worked. So now I know it will play CDRW's but not CDR's, but I still don't know if it will play vcd's as my one attempt to write one out ( with Nero ) won't play. Does anyone know if it will play VCD's or not?

    hopefull
