Looking for software that can edit a retail dvd and keep the main movie un-encoded/un-compressed and the rest encoded/compressed. For example, delete the extras, commentary, leave the movie untouched and encode/compress the menus and everything else.
Slysoft CloneDVD lets you do exactly what I want but doesn't give me the option to leave the movie untouched/unencoded and the rest encoded. DVDShrink forces you to insert a still image in place of a deleted video. Anyway, all help appreciated!

Simple DVD editing and encoding software? (Scene release)

Demux what you want to reencode/compress (PGCDemux). Reencode it to a smaller size and reauthor those extras to little DVDs (Muxman). Open the original DVD in VobBlanker and blank out what you don't want and use the 'Replace' button to replace the original extras with the smaller ones you reencoded.
Reencoding menus for a smaller size is a bit trickier. If necessary, just replace them with a still image taken from the menu. That's also easy using VobBlanker.
And, like Noahtuck, I'm wondering what this has to do, if anything, with scene releases. -

Sorry, forgot to explain that part. Yes, I'm looking for software that can do what I've seen with DVDR from scene release groups. Edit everything out except keep the movie untouched and encode the rest (menus and any extras left in). Similar to CloneDVD but with the option to control what gets compressed/encoded. Wish I knew an easy answer on what to use. Maybe DVD Rebuilder which I have yet to try out.
