  1. I have been going through hell trying to capture a nero compliant capture. I have ATI all in wonder 128bit capture card and am running P3 with 700megs and 256 ram. i followed the directions to edit the registry. but I cant find good setting to keep my frames from dropping. ive tested from 2-5 bits with motion estimation tested between 25-50. i remedied the frames from dropping but my problem is that I cant capture more than about one minute without the playback being a blinking screen of the opening scene with the actual movie playing in the top 1/2 inch of the screen. If you have my environment please let me know what setting you are using.
Also if I try to drop one of these captures into nero it will load it but I get an error within 2 minutes

You can't. Its built into the DVD.

You need a "video clarifier" box on your video-in (the RCA-type cable), which will remove macrovison. I'm still waiting on mine, bigger family to feed now and all...

Nowadays, you want to find one that supports both DVD and VHS video sources, this should eliminate all types of Macrovision. Cheapest ones are around $30, and run on a 9v battery (or an adapter).

There is a registry patch for the 128's and Radeons that "turns off" the detection for certain types of Macrovison, the catch is that it's only "certain types". It made one tape work for me, but only one. You want the box as your best solution.

GO and buy an old old VCR.

Some very old VCR's bypass Macrovision on the Coxail Out.

I know that my VCR does not employ Macrovision when streaming into my ATI All in Wonder via Coaxial.
