I'd appreciate your help on this; I own a JVC Everio model GZ-MS230BU. All the recorded videos are saved to a folder in a SD memory card. When I burn a DVD with all my recordings-- I have different programs; Pinnacle, Corel Video Studio and Sony Vegas--I notice that the DVD player that I use to playback my DVDs starts playing the first video sequence, then it stops, finds the the next one , plays it, then stops, goes to the next one and so on. I can even hear the hardware sound of the DVD player searching, playing, stopping, searching , playing etc. It's like you shoot a two minutes video, stop recording, then shoot another 3 minutes video of another thing, stop, start recording again , etc , and then when I playback the video that I burnt it's like it's reproducing exactly what the camera did, record, stop, record, stop and so on. It's there any way to edit all the sequences so that I can watch them all without interruptions, that is, one after the other without this gap?. How to achieve this?. May be some kind of settings on any of the programs that I have. Please advise
Thank you for your time

Normally, these "clips" are edited and a final single file is rendered, but not always. It's up to you.
When a DVD disc is authored, is the time to lay out the structure and menu system. In other words, make chapters or whatever. Apparently, each of your clips is getting burnt as a chapter, so the player is playing it back as such.
Get some better DVD authoring software, and you should be able to have more control. -
No, more likely each "clip" is being burnt as a separate title or titleset. There shouldn't be pauses between chapters. This sounds like the player is going from VOB to VMGR to VOB to VMGR to VOB states, instead of staying within a single VOB. "Chapters" is really what the OP SHOULD use.
Edit all the clips into one BIG single clip. Make note of the timecode for the start of each individual clip within.
Put the big clip (only) into the dvd authoring app. Make chapter marks at those timecoded clip start points. Make a menu that uses the chapters as a playlist, with individual buttons for each chapter and a [PLAY ALL] button. That'll get you what you want and will be much more professional.

Thank you very much Scott, but can you please give instructions on how to edit each clip into one BIG file. I have installed on my PC all the 3 programs that I mentioned so any instructions for any program is OK.

Which programs - specifically?
You mention brands but not the actual apps (model, version). Plus you aren't clear on which are doing the editing and which are doing the authoring. They're 2 very different tasks.

Mr. Scott the programs that I have installed on my PC are Corel Video Studio X4, Pinnacle Studio 12 and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10. I used Sony Vegas to burt the video that gives me trouble. Id appreciate it very much if you provide me with instruccions on how to achieve what I want. Please feel free to select any of 3 above softwares for your explanations.
Thank you again for your time and knowledge. -
Right. To be honest, I haven't "burnt" an optical disc in years, I went right into RGB and YouTube.
Anyhoo, to the OP, Mr. Videographer, there are two processes involved here, and mostly they don't overlap except for the rules regarding the DVD standard or format. That's why I gave you that link.
The first step is to learn the rules of DVD production pertaining to what type of files to use for the video. The answer is Mpeg2.
The sound can be PCM or AC-3/2 stereo.
So in Sony Vegas Movie Studio, you would start a new project as a "DVD" template, which is NTSC DV.
As the poster below me mentions, you place all the clips on the timeline(s), do your editing, then render a single file using "DVD Architect NTSC Video Stream". Then you will have a file ready to burn to DVD disc.
OK, so you're all set.

Are you asking how to edit it?
You place the individual clips on the timeline in the order that you want. Cut out sections that you don't want. Add transitions etc... If you want , do other stuff like titles, overlays etc...
On the timeline it will be 1 big video. When you export it , it will be 1 big video. When you author it - you guessed it- it will be 1 big video . The dvd will play as 1 big video
