I just saw this player on Circuit City's website, and it says it plays Windows Media files. Does anyone know if this just Windows Media Audio, or does it do Windows Media Video as well? This is the first settop player I've seen that plays anything other than your basic MPEG formats. I have a Rio CD player that plays CDs of Windows Media audio, but I rarely encode to this format.

Looks like a nice machine, but check the link above.. because Apex web site doesn't mention windows media support for that player ... but it's possible it got into the production units and the web info for the player could be sorta old.

Buy it and let us know :D

    LOL

I should be kicked and beaten for not doing a search before I posted! I should know better.

I'm tempted to buy it just to check its capabilities, but I don't have access to any Windows Media encoded music or video since I switched to Mac. Well, I could watch it, but Microsoft has enough control over the universe without me actually seeking it out. I've been tempted by the dark side!
