  1. Hi guys.

Hope you can help me out here.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 , 4GB Ram and silly amounts of disk space. I have used AnyDVD-HD to rip the Blue Ray movie to my hard disk and thats gone fine.

I am trying to get all my DVD and Blue Ray moves converted as i am moving more and more to the Apple Mac world. Soooooooo

i used Ripbot264 to create a MP4 and the process is pretty straight forward to be fair, however the Blue Ray i have has multple audio streams such as True HD , DTS, Prologic II etc

So, is there anyway to capture all the audio streams with this software? is there a way to check to see if the MP4 has all the audio streams? from what i can see it just has Prologic.

    Thanks in advance

Ripbot only let's you keep 1 audio track. Try Handbrake, it'll let you do what you would like.

I'm gonna have to go back on what I said about Handbrake. It let's you pass AC3 straight through as well as additional converted audio tracks, but I don't believe it passes through the TruHD, DTS, etc. I should have put more thought into my answer.

I don't know of any free software out there that would do a good job of that. Also, I'm not sure that .mp4 containers will support those different audio streams (DTS, yes. HD audio, no). You need a device that supports the containers that support those stream types. I'm thinking your options are .mkv and .m2ts. What playback device(s) are you using?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_container_formats

You said that you are moving towards Apple, so you should probably be aware that Apple's love for .mp4/.m4v means that they don't support any of those audio types. Apple loves .aac and will playback .mp3, .wav, Apple Lossless and .aiff. You may be able to mux them with YAMB into an .mp4 container as 2nd, 3rd and 4th audio tracks, but different playback devices will act differently. Some may choose to just ignore the incompatible files and others may refuse to playback the file at all. I would put an Apple compatible audio track as the first and then experiment and see. I've never tried putting a DTS or TruHD track into anything but an .m2ts or .mkv, so you'll have to wait for someone else with more knowledge or just experiment on your own.
