I must have read it wrong. That note only tell you the limit amount you can deposit on any given day. I didn't see where they are charging you for the deposit.....
Oh, I didn't read it carefully....LOL

The era of free checking accounts is coming to an end. What the banks found after debit cards came on the scene is they could make a whole lot of money charging overdraft fees. To attract more customers what they did was offer free checking and dropped the annual fees on CC's, they wanted bad customers that made overdrafts and didn't pay on time. The new banking regualtions restrict these fees and to make up for these lost profits they will be going back to charging fees for having and using the account.

Stiltman, you're not understanding.
Billy, and his colleagues, were having a conversation one day and they each decided they needed another new Porsche and yacht, and a couple more mansions. That's all.
How could you be so insensitive as to be resistant to help them achieve this in their time of need?Last edited by PuzZLeR; 11th Oct 2011 at 06:59.

That chart doesn't show the numerous smaller banks that were picked up over the years. My state's Department of Banking and Insurance keeps a very detailed list of bank mergers on its site for reference: http://www.nj.gov/dobi/bankmerger_alpha.htm
One thing folks should do is BANK LOCAL. They still offer free checking accounts and aren't fee happy. Find a community bank or credit union, there are plenty out there. So what if they don't have a nationwide ATM network, most of these banks/CU will refund ATM fees, or there is always cash back at the checkout line of a Wal-Mart or something when you use your debit card. -
