Should I just buy a DVD recorder, or is there a simple way to record a TV show directly to my computer? I don't watch much TV, or have the need to record a lot, but once in a while, I'm asked to record something..

I have these in my system:

    Motherboard:

Start with your video source. Is it on-air, cable, sat, DVD?

    SD or HD?

    Neither of your links work.

I don't see an IEEE-1394 port on that mobo. Did I miss it?
