Hi,

I've been fiddling around with capturing analog video and have had good success in putting my analog tapes to VCD. My originals are fairly crappy quality and I had no discernable difference to my dumb eyes if I captured it to MPEG-1 and burned a VCD, or captured it to AVI, encoded it and then burned it to VCD. I have had limitations on disc space and an insane amount of videos to capture, so I've been pleased that the quality (to my dumb eyes) is not that degraded, if any just capturing to MPEG-1.

Here's the rub...if I capture to AVI, then I can use all the really pricey software that I purchased like Pinnacle Studio 7 and Adobe Premiere 6 to edit, and transition and title the suckers up.

I am, however, having no luck (or I just havn't found it yet) adding titles and effects to the captured MPEG-1 files.

In a long winded background way, is there a software editing package that allows me to manipulate MPEG-1 for titles/voice overs/transitions?

Thanks!
