Can't Do Anything With This YouTube Vid

I rarely do anything other than download and watch a few YouTube vids here and there....and before when I absolutely NEEDED to do something with one....I could always find something to open it and do a quick and dirty edit. Not any more.
VLC plays this vid perfectly....neither VDub or AviDemux will touch this vid. What the hell am I looking at here?

I usually try remux h264/avc flvs to mp4 with mymp4boxgui or ffmpeg. If they fail I just reconvert the flv to something else with VLC, ffmpeg, etc.

ffmpeg reminded me that it was a frontend for WinFF. I completely forgot about WinFF. Worked perfectly. Thank You for jogging my memory Baldrick.

Install a DirectShow FLV splitter, h.264 decoder, and AAC decoder (ffdshow will work for the decoders). Then use the DirectShow source filter in VirtualDub.

I have no trouble with H264 or AAC right now in either VDub or AviDemux....it's just these recent YouTube downloads. How do I know exactly what my system has already as far as stuff like ffdshow, flvsplitter and codecs? I just open stuff and it works 99% of the time. All this stuff sounds so familiar but I don't know if it's because it's already on my system or if it's from reading it here so often.
As a matter of fact I just remember that I installed ffdshow yesterday....but have NO idea what exactly it is supposed to do or what to do with it. Simply installing ffdshow did not help open this vid in Vdub or AviDemux.

Can you give a link to the Youtube video? Can you download an MP4 version instead of the FLV version?

ffdshow shows up in the start menu: Start -> All Programs -> ffdshow -> Video Decoder Configuration. You can also see it in the Uninstall section of Control Panel.

There is one MP4 version available listed in DownloadHelper(3 sizes of FLV and one Medium.MP4)....I should have taken the medium huh? But bigger is getter...

OMG Thank you for posting this thread! I've been looking for a solution to this for months.
WinFF is a super easy way of converting .flv to .avi and I found that if I use the anamorphic preset, the filesize stays close to the original.
