  1. I recently burned my first mixed VCD with Images (JPGs) and Videos (MPGs), using Nero. Everything burned fine, and I can use my DVD player to see everything on the CD. Problem is that I only seem to be able to browse through my images sequentially. There are over 300 images on this CD, so if I want to view image number 280, I have to step through 279 images to do so. I would like to be able to go directly to Image #279, like I can with the videos on the same VCD, or the tracks on my mp3 CDs.

Is this the version of Nero that I'm using? Or is it my DVD player? I read the sections on burning images to a VCD, but nobody mentions this as a problem. I don't really want to go through the hassle of compiling 300 images into one MPG, as the drag and drop creation in Nero is so much handier. And the sections regarding menu creation only reference menus for MPGs. Can I create (easily) a menu that will allow me to browse through BOTH my images and videos?

    Any help/advice appreciated...

  2. the older video pack 4 allowed you to pretty much do what you want (sort of). The down side is you would have to make menus pointing to each of the 300 items (lets say you could fit 100 menu choices on a page which you proably could if you just use numbers)) then technically you would need just 3 menu pages. It can be done but VERY timely, but if it is worht it to you then go for it--I hope this helped somewhat

there is a way to do it, but i kinda forgot how. i think its like you have to break them up into like groups of 10 or 20 and link them in those groups. kind of like on a dvd, if u go to scene selection, there is like groups of 5, like 1-5 and 6-10. something like that. if anyone else knows what im talking about please help.

  4. Thanks for your responses. I have tried the menu system now, and it seems to work, except it just does the first 99 files only, so it doesn't really get to the root of my issue. I still have to browse one by one through the pics after #99. It would be great to arrange the pics into groups of 15 or 20, but I can't seem to find the "scene" section that you referred to, or fid any other way to split them up. Is there some other software I should be using? I just upgraded to the latest version of Nero.
