    Hi,

I moved to the USA from New Zealand with few nice DVD that are region 4.

I purchased the Insignia NS-2BRDVD from Best Buy and I am wondering if anyone knows how to reset the player to ALL Regions for DVD at least?

In New Zealand, it is so easy to buy multi-zones DVD players off the shelves. It is not the case in the USA.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks guys for such a great forum.

    Marc

  4. I have firmware 2brdvd_Live01 1_4_089_RC installed on my NS-2BRDVD.

    I first open the tray.

Then Press 91130 and you will see "DVD 0" appear briefly in the upper right corner of the screen. You are now set for DVD region free.

If you Press 91132, you will see "B" appear briefly in the upper right corner of the screen. You are now set for Blu-ray Zone B. If you want to change back to Zone A, Press 91131, you will see "A" appear briefly in the upper right corner of the screen. You are now set for Blu-ray Zone A.

How many times can you change the region code on this model of DVD/blue Ray Player, will it stop letting you change the code if its done too many times?

    Thanks

I've NEVER heard of that on ANY standalone player.

Maybe you are confused with PC drives which do have limits on this sort of thing. It's completely different with standalones because they use different firmware to access the drive and there's no counting of changes because (in theory) you as a consumer aren't supposed to be able to do it even once.
