I noticed that Toshiba has RM models and XR models. Some of them use the same model number (example an RM-W70 and an XR-w70 exist). Does anyone know the difference between the two or if the remote of one could work on the other (Pioneers were universal like that)?

just wanted to mention that I took a gamble and purchased an RM remote for the XR laserdisc player from Toshiba. The RM-W70 remote DOES work on the XR-W70 deck (which I assumed it probably would). Still have no idea about the difference between the RM and XR series, but if any of you ever get this deck, at least know if you need to find a remote, you can use one on the other without a problem
