  1. Hi there, This is my first post on this forum, and I would love some help

I have some files off youtube all in a folder
    they are mp4s apart1.mp4 apart2.mp4 bpart1.mp4 bpart2.mp4 and i want to combine these to ajoined.mp4 bjoined.mp4
I want to find a way, whether it be a script that searches a folder and does this for me, knowing which ones to combine recognising the string 'a' or 'b' or 'c' etc
I have hundreds of these files and it is not viable to do each one with MKVtools for example

I would prefer a solution for Mac, however i can use windows and at a last resort use Linux

    Thank you for your help
    Jamie.

    No such software or script.

  3. Can it be that hard to write a script? could it involve perhaps the cat function in terminal or the concatenate function in msdos?

Maybe join with ffmpeg in a script that loops through all files. Google for ffmpeg join batch.

  5. I'm having real trouble with this
surely someone in the world, has a script that just looks at a folder and combines all the part1s to the correct part2 etc?
