    It's possible the DVD part is region-free out of the box. Did you test with a non-region 2 DVD? As for the blu-ray, no hack. Anywhere. Tough.
    For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i".

    Return the LG HX751 - or return the Blu Ray disc. Those are your only two options if you expect to play Blu Ray discs from outside your zone/region.

    There are only a handful (worldwide) of Blu Ray players that can be hacked for zone-free Blu Ray playback....several can be hacked for region-free DVD playback.

    The only BluRay players that I've ever heard of that can be made region free for BluRay playback are not made by any of the major manufacturers like LG.

    Modified by a 3rd party. Not shipped from the factory that way.

    Sorry for not being specific. Since the original poster didn't buy a modified player, he's out of luck.
