Help Please. Can anything be done with DVD’s that have not been finalised? I have some DVD disks that have been made on a DVD player but have not been finalised. Is there any way I can rip them and put them on a disk that can be watched on anything. I have Pinnacle Studio Plus V9 and Studio Ultimate V12

Nero 10 may be able to salvage unfinalized recordings, but I never tried this method. http://www.dvdrepairtips.com/unfinalized-dvds.html.

There is a way to do what you want using the free version of ISO Buster, VOBEdit, IFOEdit (or any other DVD authoring program that can import audio and video separately), and ImgBurn to burn the DVD files as a new DVD. Using the pay version of ISO buster may simplify the process, but I haven't tried it.

There are 5-6 basic steps in the process:
    1. Download and install ISOBuster, VOBEdit, IFOEdit and ImgBurn.
    2. Extract each of the tracks ISOBuster finds as a .tao file.
    3. Demux audio and video from each .tao file using VOBEdit. This gets rid of some unneeded elements in the .tao files, and prepares resources for IFOEdit.
    4. (Optional) Edit demuxed video and audio. Some DVD recorders lump recordings togther in a single track, while others place each recording session in its own track. If there is only one track containing multiple recordings, an MPEG-2 editor will be needed to split the audio and video back into individual recordings. Possibly Pinnacle Studio could be used for this, but I have never tried it.
    5. Author the resulting audio and video files. IFOEdit is easy to use, but any DVD authoring program that can import separate audio and video files will work.
    6. Burn a disc with ImgBurn.

It seems it is possible, but a bit complicated for my mini brain. It would seem getting the orginal player or the aquivellent is the best way, But how do you find one thats available. Thank you all for all your advice if I cannot find a player I will give it a go. Thanks again.
    Zenner.
