I'm trying to play music over videos and pictures, is there any easy way to do this. I'm resorting to editing the song and trying to make it match up at the end point of one video cut right into pictures.

    Short answer - no

Long answer - most music is based on a constant beat and timing. If you cut to nice even numbers - images display for 4 seconds and fade over two seconds, for example - you may find that your music matches up reasonably well with minimal audio editing. But either way, you have to cut the images to the music, or the music to the images. The closest thing to automatic editing is probably muvee auto producer, but you have to remember that the more you automate, the less control over the finished piece you will have.

Find a video on YT that's the same length and purloin the music from it.
