  1. This forum may be my last resort. I am trying to convert a HD broadcast capture to Blu-Ray using PowerDirector 9 Ultra 64 and am having an impossible time getting it done.

My specs: Windows 7, Core 2 Duo 3.13 mhz, 8 GB DDR2 6400 RAM, 1 TB HD, nVidia GeForce 450 GTS video (1 GB).

I captured the Super Bowl using the Hauppauge HD PVR with PS3 settings (.m2ts) in 1280x720p, 13.5 variable bitrate.

Using VideoRedo, I edited the video (creating separate videos of each segment - Pre-Kick, 1st Quarter, 2nd Quarter, etc.) and saved as .m2ts (no re-encoding).

In PowerDirector 9, I imported each file and created chapter points.

I checked the preview and it played fine. When I render the project, the result is a green screen for video with audio.

I made sure that I uninstalled anything that may have been causing a conflict - specifially ProCoder 3 and the Canopus Codec. I also uninstalled and reinstalled PD9 on several occasions.

In addition, I tried creating a project with no menu. Still green screen with audio.

I am about to give up. Can anyone on this forum shed some light on this? Thanks.

Sounds like maybe a graphics card problem. Try updating your video card drivers if you haven't do so already.

I have to thank you. Your post gave me an idea that worked!

I did not update my video driver, I rolled it back. I guess the latest driver for my video card (nVidia GeForce 450 GTS) is not compatible with PowerDirector 9 Ultra 64.

    Many thanks!
