Aside from removing Macrovision, does it in any way improve the quality of the video? I know you cannot make "silk from a sow's ear", but does it help any?

Not that I've noticed, although the flyer that came with the device claims that if you use the composite video connection the signal is improved. I assume you are using a VHS source, since a DVD source would not be an issue. I use a JVC SVHS player, which has some built-in video enhancements, so I use the S-video connections instead of the composite and get very good results. (I'm recording with a DVD recorder)

    Hope that helps

    Thanks Guys,

Do you know anything about the Data Video TBC-100 card that you insert into the computer? Would this be better?
