I was just sent these and scanned them so no harm done. But look out for these worm viruses named:
Computer Systems
Disc-Farnum proposa
Disc-ADS Proposal letter
These can put a real hurt on your machine.

It looks as though you were hit with the SIRCAM worm. The titles in the messages you receive change so you can't tell from that. The document names are retrieved from the MY DOCUMENTS directory of the last infected person in the chain. The files end with two extensions, for example .doc.exe or .doc.pif -- if you open the attachment (it's sneaky -- it even shows them) the SIRCAM worm infects your system and starts sending out your private documents to people in your contacts list...
