I'm getting this message: Could not play back the video stream: no suitable decompresser can be found.

    Only with this DVD....

DVD Fab. Dscaler install did not fix it. Also it appears I can go to direct from the disk but when I play back the VOB, its all garbage.

All other ripped DVD's IFO's work fine.

I've left message on DVD Fab's forum as well.

Instead of this released version, 8.x.x.x I'm trying previous version of DVD Fab. Will see if version 6 has the proper decryption stuff.

Amazon lists this DVD release as December 7th.

If this is the same DVD....what makes you think going backwards in DVDFab is going to help?

Because DVD Fab changes how it handles encryption, etc. Not uncommon to have a disk not work in one version but yet work in another.

    Just eliminating variables as well.

Did not work however. Same error message.

Yes...it changes FORWARD to allow it to remove new copy protection schemes that are added to new DVD releases.

"what the hell does that have to do with this scenario?"

Please feel free to figure out why reinstalling the k-lite codec pack eliminated the error and then educate the rest of us. I'd like to know as well. For now I'll take it works and be done with it.

    "Yes...it changes FORWARD"

It also eliminates new bugs that new versions introduced. Not unusual with DVD FAB. But me I'm done with you. You are quite the jerk and in just a few posts.
