Hi, total newbie here seeking help. I have a Humax PVR9200T which I record digital TV in the UK. Using the Humax software I've managed to copy some TV/films to my netbook and now I want to copy them to DVD. I had some success with a trial verson of VideoRedo but this has expired. I've also got a digital TV USB stick that came with Arcsoft TotalMedia 3. I've tried TM3 a couple of times with my PVR files, trimming bits off the start/end of TV shows, but when I 'burn to disc' the video comes out great but the audio is at least 1 minute ahead of the video. It's as if the trimming chopped off a lot of audio somehow. I cannot find any help for this problem.

What I need is some simple (free !) software to convert TS to various formats after doing a bit of simple editting. I found ProjectX on this site but it is quite scary and I have no idea where to start with it.

    All advice gratefully received.

ProjectX especially the latest version from here http://www.oozoon.de/main_en.html and using Demux mode is the best way of cleaning up transmission errors in TS files. If you find ProjectX "unfriendly"(I would call the interface toxic for new users!) Take a look at my wiki for setting up the presettings especially the audio page - although for Australian digital TV it should work for UK as long as the video is MPEG2 and of course you need to change the page number for subtitles) Otherwise MPEGStreamclip works well using convert to MPEG-PS mode. Then you can use ConvertXtoDVD oir similar to author a DVD

If the video stream is H264 then ProjectX won't work. When I had a Topfield I used to visit the Topfield UK forum and they certainly used ProjectX.
