On the CNET Download website I saw a program called Free Video Converter mentioned. It comes from a company called AHDSoft.

I took a look at their website, but it was suspiciously quiet about who they are or how to contact them.

A websearch about the company and program didn't turn up anything to bite on.

Has anyone heard of the company or tried any of their products?

    Thanks.

    JoeG

P.S. I have absolutely nothing to do with the company. I'm interested in trying the program but am always skittish about being "the first one in the water".

    Thanks for your message.

That's actually the essence of my message.

Having said that, though, it doesn't mean that no one can build a better mousetrap. It doesn't take much reading of the forum to ascertain that "the perfect video converter" is still somewhere over the rainbow.

On one level I agree with you aedipuss, but on another, I'd still be interested to hear whether anyone's taken the plunge.

damn aedipuss, you beat me to it. i was gna say the exact same thing

this is obviously new software and and since there are many tried and tested pieces of free software that do the same thing...there's not much improving that can be done imo...save the money for some new shoes or a slurpee
