Hello, friends! I want to rip movies that are on a DVD-R (some with menus, some with just the movie), and then burn them on a blank DVD-R of my own. Please, can anyone help me with what is a) the best way to do this, and b) is there a good, free way to do this? I thank everyone who endeavors to enlighten me in advance.

non commercial unprotected dvds are just data files. copy the audio_ts and video_ts folder to your hard drive and then burn them to a new disc. imgburn is the best burning app out there and it's free. put it in build mode and drag the folders into the window and burn a new disc.
