    Hello there,

I have lots of videos with dual audio, and I always convert all to MP3 with constant bitrate. First I was using batch files to automate, using ffmpeg, lame encoder and virtualdubmod. Everything was nice until I noticed a problem in some AVIs re-muxed. If the original video file have audio with delay (audio skew correction in vdubmod), my original proccess mess with this delay. Now, I am making everything with vdubmod, using it to re-encode the MP3s to MP3 constant... this way the audio delay is not changed.

Now I have some new files with AC3, and don't want to use the old batch files. It's safe to re-encode AC3 2ch or 6ch to MP3 in VirtualDubMod?

I always used BeSweet to AC3 jobs, and I know it's. I'm in a hurry, and want to skip all the tests. Just want to know if the virtualdubmod can make some nice work here... and if it have some option to boost the audio... it's better to try virtualdub with newer plugins?

Thanks in advance for some info!

  2. You can convert AC3 to MP3 using the "original" Virtualdub (i think you might need AC3 ACM Codec), it's just that i'm not sure if it will do a decent 6 to 2 channel downmix to Dolby Surround like Besweet would do.

    There aren't filters for that?
I can open AVIs with AC3s in virtualdubmod and can convert AC3 2ch but not found any option to downmix 6ch... it's done "on the fly"??
Virtualdubmod can use plugins and filters like the original virtualdub?
