I am a beginner - could somebody please help me out with this VideoReDo error .... when I click File\Open and select a .TS file in VideoReDo:
"No PIDs specified when trying to open a transport stream"
immediately on attempting to open the file.
The source files are recordings on a Beyonwiz DP-P1 PVR in .TS format.
I run them through ProjectX with Action: PIDFilter (1:1 Copy) and the following option checked "Apply PMT-PID Filter"
Then I attempt to open them with VideoReDo for editing.
.TS files with multiple streams for video, AC3, and MPG work, and do not return the above error ....
-> PMT 0x100 refers to these usable streams:
Video:
PID: 0x207(#7)
Audio:
PID: 0x2D0(eng)(#208)
PID: 0x2D1(AC-3)(eng)(#209)[PD]
Teletext:
PID: 0x247(eng_s801 )(#71)
Subpict.:

.TS files with one video stream and no audio streams do not work, and return the above error ....
-> PMT 0x42 refers to these usable streams:
Video:
PID: 0x44(eng)(H.264)
Audio:
n/a
Teletext:

Do I need to select some different parameters in ProjectX ?
Do I need to use some other totally different program ?
your help is appreciated ....

Easy solution: Go to "Tools/Options/Streaming parameters" and put a tick in the "Ignore transport stream map" box.
It works! -
Australian digital TV doesn't use H264. Our system is MPEG2 plus either MPEG audio or AC3. I would direct you to my signature on setting up ProjectX for the Beyonwiz but the wiki page is down at the moment. You are better off using ProjectX in demux mode and remuxing in a suitable program say MPEGStreamclip before using VideRedo. I believe the latest version of VideoRedo will handle BW MPEG2 TS files directly. Suggest you drop into the VideRedo forum and also the Beyonwiz forum.
The 3D experimental station that was on LCN 40 did use H264 encoding but they have been off air for about month. Listed is MediaInfo log of the 3D trial the only H264 transmission in Australia
