if so, can anyone explain why I am unable to capture a film from my video recorder (composite) to the Buz? All I get when using the MGI Videowave SE+ is a blue screen. I`ve also tried to capture a DVD using the S-Video and get no joy.
The bloke I bought it off assures me it worked for him and that I have to do some "tinkering" with it?
Can anyone help me out?
I`ve got a Creative Geforce (1) 256 32mb DDR card and haven`t a clue about my motherboard.

I do, and I can relate to the "tinkering".
Do you have the installation procedure for the Buz? You have to install the software first before you add the card to your system!! Also, the Buz does not work with Quicktime 4. Make sure you have selected the right system (PAL, NTSC) and input (S-video or composite).
I have the Buz installed, together with a Pyro Firewire card, on a VIA based motherboard with succes. I can capture through the Firewire and I use the Buz for videoconferencing. My firewire card has a dedicated IRQ, the Iomega Buz wil use 2 IRQ's (on my system these are shared).
The key is to read the installation manual. If you do not have it, try to find it on the web or I can scan it and e-mail it to you.
PS: there are some updated drivers available on the internet. I use version 2, version 3 did not work for me.

Thanks. The Card is hopefully correctly installed as I have succesfully captured audio from mystereo with the free software supplied.
I`ll have to just keep plugging away at the moment then.
