Have you tried MPC-HC? It should play MKV with no problems. I don't know how a video would uninstall a VGA driver.

And it would help greatly to fill out your computer details as we have no idea of your operatiing system or computer capabilities. MKV takes a bit of computer power, so slow or old computers may struggle with playback.

    And welcome to our forums.

  4. Can you describe what you exactly do?
Never ever heard video file make anything to GPU driver.
What happens when you click the file, maybe it is not an mkv but an executable??

First run the player you use, then drag & drop the file to it. what happens?
Do you install GPU drivers everytime it happens?????

Just guessing, but the file and player may have changed the screen resolution. My players do turn off Aero for Vista and W7 and I get a warning for that. It may also have switched to use overlay. But it should return to normal after playback. But this wouldn't affect the video driver, just the settings.

On the third line under your member name, left click on the magnifier symbol and it will show all your posts.

Or if you have just logged in, at the right top of the forum screen, L click on 'View My' and select your posts from the options there.
