  1. my goal is to have the AAC audio as the primary track so i can stream it on my Xbox 360. the 2nd DTS track is an optimal option for streaming to my WDTV Live. also, the subs as well on my WDTV Live.
here are the files i am trying to successfully mux for play on my Xbox 360:

    1. video.m4v AVC (High@L4.1)
    2. audio.mp4 2ch AAC-LC
    3. audio.dts 6ch DTS stream
    4. subs.srt

the problem is i cannot get any MPR muxer to recognize the DTS audio track. it works in MKVMerge, but then it becomes a non-compatible format for work on the Xbox 360. YAMB is the closest i can get but cannot take in the DTS file. im sure im missing something so simple, bud its becoming quite aggrivating.

What program are you using to stream? Tversity and ps3mediaserver may have built in options for what you want to do.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  3. Hi

Certainly not an expert on this one but PS3 media server can do some clever stuff but is limited when it comes to the Xbox 360. I assume you mean streaming to the Xbox rather than via a disc or from a Hard Drive.

The one thing I have found myself (playing with my own stuff) is that it seems harder to get MP4's to play ball as easily as MKV when it comes to things like soft subs and multiple sound tracks. Seems so dependent on what the player is, maybe as the MP4 container is still evolving, not sure.
