I've tried to make a backup of some of my old DVDs into new DVDs, but when i play them on the living room dvd player they are displayed with a lot of errors both in image and sound. If i try to play them on my pc the playback is perfect!
I've tried copying them with a lot of protection removing software like AnyDVD, DVDFab, ImgBurn, i've burnt them at slow speed and even so the problem persists. I've tried recording in both dvd-r and dvd+r and i get the same problem with both discs. I doubt there's something wrong with the dvd player cause it can play any other discs just fine. I'm outta options now and could use some help!

    Thanks in advance!

  2. The standard reply to this is to try another brand of disks. When you say the standalone player, which I will assume has a make and model, plays "any" disks, are you referring to commercially pressed DVD's or other DVDs burned on a PC? If it will play a burned disk, what brand and have you tried those?

The standalone player is a Bluelaser DVG-888U it can playback comercially pressed DVDs, CDGs, Burned CDGs but not Burned DVDs at least copies of commercially pressed dvds im gonna try playing some videos mpeg and divx (supported) burned on dvd and i'll see if it works.

I've tried Memorex, Verbatim and even some Sony with better quality Accucore and all that crap it says its more compatible with dvd players and that kind of stuff.

  4. Try your disks in another player, try somebody else's burned disks in your player, look it up in the hardware list here, and what the heck is a CD"G"?
