    Been trying to add srt subtitles to mp4 avi . Font size 4 pos 100.All looks fine in preview.However,when finished the font size is too small.(i.e. it is smaller than in the preview)

    Any ideas?

    It's a bug in the latest version of mencoder used by ffmpegx. Nothing can be done, except downgrading to an older version.

    I keep the 9s version of the app around along with the mencoder version it uses. I then swap out mencoder and run the older version (ignoring any complaints about the wrong versions of the other support files). Works like a charm. I then swap the newer mencoder back when I'm done.
