    Hey guys,
I have some family footage that was recorded with a Canon ZR950. When i capture the footage with Premier Pro CS4, and play it in the source screen the quality is very low. I dont even want to think about whats going to happen when it is going to be compressed to a DVD.

Can something be done? Also i also have flickering lines across the screen when i playback the captured content.

    Cheers.

"snow leopard" ?? is that a mac? if it's capturing over firewire as DVavi it should be alright. the preview may be set a low quality? interlace lines are ok when displaying DVavi as it's interlaced and so will the output to mpeg-2 dvd be. you'd have to de-interlace or discard every other line to get rid of them on a computer display.

don't worry about it and just make a dvd. it should be fine when played back on a standalone dvd player to a tv.
