Hey everyone, my friend sent me a copy of Angels and Demons and wants me to make him a DVD with it. He told me the movie was HD quality 720p and it is pretty sharp but the size is weird. The actual resolution of the movie is 1280X534. The movie is great quality but some of the shapes look a little off to me. I am not inexperienced with this kind of stuff but I am still learning a lot of it as there is so much to know. Anyway I figured I would just give it a trial run through HCenc via HC GUI and see what it looked like to help determine what I would need to do. Surprisingly it didn't turn out too bad but I still feel like some of the shapes in the movie are out of whack. I do not work with HD material very much so I just used a simple avisynth script for this first run because I didn't expect much to come of this run. Mainly I was wondering if some of you fine people could help me too optimize my script for even better quality. Here is the script I used as well as a pic of the source and MPEG2.
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\Halli'sMatroskaSplitter\avss.dll")
dss2("G:\Movies\Angels_and_Demons_HD720P\Angels_an d_Demons_HD720P.mkv", fps=23.976)
BicubicResize(720,480,0,0.5)
Source
MPEG encoded with HCenc
The Old mans head is weird looking, like a football or maybe its just me. I added borders in another script and played it through MPC and it looked better to me but I hate borders. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated guys.

you should have read the forum rules before making your first post. what you're asking for is help with an illegal use of copyright material. next time please leave out the obvious references to banned material and maybe you will get help here. like you might have to add borders top and bottom to maintain the aspect ratio....
