I'm using ffmpegX 0.0.9y to convert a 400x224 H.264 video to mp4 DivX format.
The requirement is that I must convert to .MP4 DivX at 400x224 @ 250kbps @20fps.
FFmpegX works fine except that the final video changes to 398 x 224 even though I specifically stated 400x224.
I used "XviD[.MP4](ffmpeg)". No cropping was set at all.
Does anyone have any idea why? Any help would be appreciated!

This is actually very similar to this weeks issue of stretching MP4 movies to 16:9 or 4:3
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/318299-stretching-or-cramming-aspect-ratio-when-I-c...ert-avi-to-MP4
Please verify the width of your output MP4 by dropping it back onto ffmpegX. Does the Summary say the video is 400x224?
Or verify by having VideoSpec read the width.
The video is 400x224, but it is slightly crammed for presentation, to make closer to 16:9.
224 × 16 ÷ 9 = 398.2
To correct it for 1:1 pixels, you may use the AppleScript app in the linked topic.
It seems to happen with ffmpeg MP4 conversions in ffmpegX, but not mencoder MP4 conversions in ffmpegX.
