I hope this isn't to stupid a question, but I'm lost here.
I would like to produce seminars where I capture video with a camcorder and audio with a wireless mic and broadcast it thru the Internet.
I've tried a network IP camera from a security company, but the image is very jerky because of the low frame rate. The lens of the camera is also inadequate for good detail and exposure.
I have seen a company producing live seminars and their image quality is awesome. Numerous Google searches have failed to lead me in the right direction.
Any guidance here would be really appreciated. I'm not sure even what I should be looking for.
Thanks in advance
Kerry

Windows Media Encoder and a lot of bandwidth. Regardless of the encoder chosen, high bandwidth will be a must for high quality video

Looks like the camcorder webcam example above needs deinterlacing.

I thought the same thing. Of course deinterlacing introduces the problem of increased CPU usage.

DV/HDV cams stream live 576i over IEEE-1394 to WME, VideoLAN or other for on the fly webstream conversion.
MPeg/AVCHD cams usually lack digital live stream capability. Analog out to capture cards is the only option.
The live encoders may or may not bother with deinterlace. They would just use a single field where CPU is tight.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
