    which is better ffdshow or coreAVC to used for h264/mpeg-4 avc?

    coreAVC is better at decoding (easier on CPU) though it's not free. ffdshow uses more CPU but it's free. It also has a bunch of filters built in that you can use.

    CoreAVC is a decoder only. At one time they were going to produce an encoder but I haven't heard anything more about that.

    Which Player need to have good performance with coreAVC? nero player don't work with it.
