i encoded my first Svcd today, but when watching it the picture seems to be jerky on both my pc and on my home dvd player.
i used smartripper to rip off the dvd
dvd to avi
then TMPGEnc to encode
and finaly vcdeasy to burn
any ideas?
also there are tons of settings in each software title, i just followed a tutorial, but what settings work best for you guys?
cheers.

It sounds like you used the wrong field order when converting in TMPGEnc. To change this, just go into the 'advanced' tab under 'settings' and change it to the opposite of what it was before (even or odd are the options). I believe someone around here suggested a way to fix this without reencoding, but I don't have the slightest idea how.
