Somebody please help me. I have trouble converting avi files to video-cd using TMPGEnc. The video turns purple then goes back to its original color every 5 - 10 seconds or so. What should I do to solve this problem?![]()

Does this happen only when played on dvd players? Or does it happen when played on computer, also?
If it's the latter, I can't help you.
But if it only does it on the DVD player it might be because you have the dvd player hooked up to the VCR(or something else) and not directly to your TV input. That's what my problem was.
If that's not the problem, I have no clue what is. -
i got rid of the purple stuff like so =got to
option/environmental setting/vfapi pluging=then put the priority
of the direct show multimedia file reader to 2 or more and let the others at 0,if still works weird put the priority to 5. -
Think i've got it sorted!
I had the same problem and it was doing my head in! for the record i'm using xp, it's nothing to do with tmpge or its settings! it's definatley the codecs.
I went to www.xp-eriance.com and downloaded the latest divx codec and the problem has been cured!
Hope this helps!
