  1. easy CD Creator says the thing wrong with it is that the Video Bitrate is 1.500 Mbits/s

on the repairmpg guide i've tried:
seeing if it was just a renamed .dat
demultiplexing it then multiplexing it again
    and i've used the mpg-corrector

any way to change this to 1.150 Mbits/s???

when you de-multiplexed and multiplexed, did you make sure the stream type setting under the System tab was "Video CD MPEG-1 standard" and not the auto setting?

  6. If your MPEG really did have a bitrate of 1.5 Mbit/s, remuxing it won't fix it. You will have to re-encode it...

You could of course, try the mpeg file swap trick with Easy CD Creator to create an XVCD. This may work on your stand-alone player, but it is no longer a compliant VCD.

How come that when I convert my avis to mpeg using TMPEgenc and then try burning it using Nero I sometimes get the message "not standard compliant" although I´ve used all the settings shown in the converting guide.

Also is right to asume that the vcd vill be playable on my standalone if it works with software Vcd-players? For example using I-Video cd player which plays the cds by directly klicking on vcd.

  8. it remuxing it didn't work... i just downloaded Nero (and a crack) and it worked fine.

JayAydin when you make a mpg with TMPGEnc, at the settings, click "load" then load VideoCD (NTSC) or (PAL) or whatever it is...
