    Hi all,

    another newbie question...sorry-

    I have a toshiba 16x dvd-rom and a plextor plexwriter 16x
    And an ATI rage 128 with a tv out. This card decode the dvd film.

    my question is about svcd:
    If I follow this tutorial found in the link section of this website...
    How to Rip a DVD to MPEG2/SVCD

    Do I will be able to watch the movie on my toshiba with my ati rage???

    I m a bit confused.

    You can play anything you want on your PC, you will just need a program to play it back, since DVD and SVCD use the same MPEG2 compression, I dont see any reason why you should not be able to play it back just like anything else.
