In 12 years, Antoine Walker(notes) made more than $110 million playing professional basketball moderately well. Take away taxes, throw in some adidas endorsement money and a "NBA Live 99" cover, and he's left with, what, $60-to-65 million?
i personally find it very hard to feel sorry for guys like this, i'm broke too, the only difference is that i never had 110 million dollars, i'll never know what it feels like to live that life style and in fact if it wasn't for the fact that athletes are paid such ridiculous salaries to run up and down a court and throw a ball threw a rim we would have the high ticket prices and the high prices on the goods and services for the products they endorse. why do you guys think a pair of nike's cost $150, they are made in third world countries by kids that are lucky if they earn 25 cents a day, the biggest over head is the endorsement deals they sign with these athletes and the salaries they pay their executives.

when you consider that the median salary per person, in america, in 2008 was a touch over 19 grand and then realize it would take the average guy about 8000 years to earn 110 million, i'm inclined to say f**k him.
