My grandma bought this player in Russia and brought it to USA. She also bought several karaoke discs in Russia. The problem is that when I try to play those discs, they are in black and white. I went in options of player and changed the video format to NTSC. The players manu changed to color, but playing discs are still in black and white. Thanks for your help

VERY VERY bad idea to buy in Russia and bring to the USA. Your grandmother is incredibly lucky that the player works here due to voltage differences and region coding.
Maybe the player is not outputing true NTSC and instead you are getting PAL-60. However, if that was the case, I would expect you to see the usual constant scrolling effect that PAL gives on NTSC TVs. You might possibly have a TV that is capable of displaying PAL (either a multistandard TV or an HDTV that supports PAL) and if so, then PAL-60 is the likely problem. You'll need to play some normal region 1 DVDs on the player and see if they are also in black and white or in color. If they are in color then there is something weird going on with these karaoke discs and it's not a PAL-60 issue.
