    Hi,
    I wonder how to crop for example a person from a movie? I guess this needs cropping irregular, virtualdub crop filter has always rectangular shape. Someone can give me a hand?

    Tough to do with virtualdub

    If you have access to other editors like Premiere Pro, or Vegas, or After Effects, you can mask the person/object out , but then you have to replace it with something.

    You might look at something like WAX or Jashaka for a free compositing tool, but this is usually the province of high-end tools such as After Effects or Fusion, where you have proper rotoscoping and masking tools that can be animated, and cloning tools to do quality foreground replacement. It is not something you will do in virtualdub or avisynth.
