The world is a weird and wonderful place, full of interesting things. Not everything can be explained by science yet, but it is working it's way through the list and doing a pretty good job. Putting aside the wackiness of institutions like the Texas School Board, it is nice to know we have people like Dr Gene Ray (self-proclaimed Wisest Human on the Planet) and Burt Goldman to fill the gaps while we wait for science to catch up.

First, Dr. Gene Ray ("The Wisest Human"), who claims to be the "sole Authority on Harmonic Time Cube". According to Dr. Ray's theory, there are 4 simultaneous 24 days during each earth rotation, and not the traditional single period previously held by science. Dr. Ray (not sure what qualifications he has to claim this title) is a very aggressive proponent of his theory. You can read all about it by googling for his website, however you should be warned that his site does contain some coarse language and many wild and provocative claims (I have removed the direct link because some of the content may breach the terms of this site). I must admit that once he got past explaining how a cube only has four sides, because the other two are in fact the top and the bottom, and therefore not sides, I struggled to hear anything else over my own laughter.


Next up is one Burt Goldman, who has lived with a secret for the past 31 years that he now must pass on to the rest of us. Based on the Quantum Mechanics theory of parallel universes, Mr. Goldman ("The American Monk" ????) posits that we can improve ourselves by absorbing new skills from ours other selves in parallel universes. Want to paint like an artist ? Visit a version of yourself that has these skills and absorb them. (Disclaimer : I have not taken the free course on offer, so I have no idea exactly how this transfer takes place).

Who needs real science when we have Dr. Ray and Mr. Goldman out there leading the way and shining a light into the darkness of our own ignorance.

1. The earth is the centre of the universe
2. The earth is only 6000 years old
3. The earth will end in 2012 (along with all the previous dates that have never come to anything)
4. Too many insane and inane things that stray into the realm of religion and therefore outside the rules of this forum
5. That Planet X will soon come through the galaxy and destroy us all

At least the flat earth society seems, for the most part, to know it is full of it
