Hi, I just got a new Panasonic HDC-HS250P high def camcorder which supports AVCHD. I am trying to use it as a streaming web cam using Windows Media Encoder via the USB 2.0 cable. I've done this with no problems using other firewire based mini-dv camcorders but when I hook this camcorder up it appears to the notebook as another hard drive. Thus, I can't get an image to Media Encoder. Is is possible to stream using this type of camcorder? Do need some type of capture card for this to work?
What am I doing wrong here? I am totally clueless. Hopefully someone here knows about this type of stuff. Any / all help is very much appreciated.
