  1. Hello,

I need a software tool that copies the recorded scenes as seperate files from my dv camera to my hard disc via firewire interface.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. that will only happen if you recorded them as separate scenes using pause/record to put time discontinuities in the file.

    winDV can handle that.

Scenalyzer (the original) has an optical scene detection mode. The others work off discontinuities in time code.

  5. Thanks for de replies. I did do it like that. Press the button to record and again to stop. Some years ago I tried one of those "big" programs and found out it worked that way, but I cannot remember the which.
I never used my dv camera anymore for movies, because my small photo camera could do the job too and the results always were satisfying, but it was stolen last weekend. Now I have to use my dv camera again.
Is there a freeware version of scenalyser?
I am going to try winDV as well.

I remembered it from 10 years ago when I purchased the Fast AV Master board.
