    Hi Everyone,

This might not be the right Forum for this question, I'm looking for a new Stills Camera that also shoots HD Video, I am having trouble finding a current model that records in HD .avi or .mov format, most seam to record in Quick Time which I hate with a passion.

I'm looking at something similar to the Canon IXUS 110 IS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

    Nick..

  2. i hate to be the bearer of bad news but .mov is a quicktime file.

    Filename extension .mov
    .qt
    Internet media type video/quicktime
    Type code MooV
    Uniform Type Identifier com.apple.quicktime-movie
    Developed by Apple Inc.
    Type of format Media container

the casio exf1 is fairly popular.

.mov is quicktime but the quality is usually better than .avi when it comes to digital cameras

Both are just wrappers, not video formats.

The wrapper has no bearing on image quality.
