So I recorded a clip with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 digital cam using the 720p video setting. I have a separate (better) audio source that I would like to use in place of the cam audio but I don't know what program would be best to minimize any potential loss in video quality. Any & all suggestions are welcome

BTW, apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

If you don't need to resync you just have to multiplex , in for example avidemux, open video choose copy, under audio->main track choose the separate audio file, save as a new avi,mp4,etc. You can extract audio with aviemux also, open video, audio->demux.

  3. If you don't care about the .mov container, you can use yamb (mp4box) to swap out the audio into .mp4 container , or mkvtoolnix (mkvmerge) to .mkv container. The video will be untouched in these examples, just a container swap and audio swap. You might be able to do this with ffmpeg as well
