What is the best software to use when you want to play a dvd on the pc?

This is the error that I get:

I assume from that image that e: is your DVD drive, and you have a proper DVD Video disc in it ? With a Video_TS folder containing VOB, IFO and BUP files ?

You might also try Media Player Classic if this is the case.

Yes I do have a Video_TS folder.

I installed Media Player Classic, I can see the picture but I don't have sound????
